At 78 Fulham Road, that's where.
Sadly, there's no evidence that Hippocrates used or even knew of coffee - but he was an advocate for how art had the power to inspire and nourish the soul, wake us up to all that life has to offer.
And that's what Gallery Roma is all about.
It is a living space for Chelsea-based artists to show their work, for the enjoyment of patients, locals and buyers alike - to be inspired by art and revived by coffee - or is it the other way around?

Chelsea's newest art gallery, is one of the Fulham Road's oldest cafés.
Forever, Café Roma has been a bright and friendly spot for Chelsea locals for many years, suffused with the warmth and hospitality of Elvin, Cibe and their family.
It has also been a place of comfort, refuge and familiarity for many of the patients, family and friends of those whose lives have brought them to The Royal Marsden Hospital, a few paces away.
It was in this capacity that Ljubica Jankovic
Lazaric, her husband Boris and her children, Lea and Filip, came to know Café Roma.

Another long standing regular at Café Roma is Mr JohnButler, Consultant surgeon and gynaecologist at theMarsden. You will often spot him collecting his latte first thing in the morning and tucking into a lasagne at lunchtime.
John Butler started caring for Ljubica Jankovic Lazaric at the Marsden when she was diagnosed with cancer in 2021. When Ljubica passed away in June 2024, the Lazarics wanted to do something purposeful and tangible to remember and honour her. They decided to breathe new life and colour into Café Roma through a renovation of the space.
As the project grew in ambition, in tandem with John Butler, also an art lover and keen amateur photographer, the idea grew to establish a small but perfectly formed new gallery space – Gallery Roma was born.

Step forward Louise Diggle, a local plein air Chelsea artist
who also has deep connection with the Marsden and John
Butler. Louise’s work is all about light, the way it hits and transforms places, streets and corners.
Colour & Light, the name of our inaugural exhibition, is there in every one of Louise's works.
All gallery profits from the sale of art exhibited at Gallery
Roma will go to cancer charities. Gallery Roma profits from Colour & Light will go to The Lady Garden Foundation, a leading national gynaecological cancer charity, raising awareness and funding for the five gynaecological cancers.
The Lady Garden Foundation is close to the heart of the
Lazarics and to John Butler, who sits as the Medical Director and Trustee.
